Talene Ann Derricott was born February 18, 1971, to Wayne "Vance" and Marie Fisher Derricott in St. George, Utah. The family moved to Island Park, Idaho in May of 1972.
She passed away September 3, 2018, from complications after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was determined to beat it, but lost the fight in the end.
Tally, as she preferred to be called, attended her entire schooling in Ashton, Idaho, and still considered herself a "North Fremont Husky".
She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years she served as a chorister, nursery leader, Primary Secretary, and most recently as Ward Librarian.
Tally worked in her family's lumber yard business until her parents retired. Being bored with staying home, she went to work for her niece at Subway as a "Sandwich Artist".
She was preceded in death by her father Vance. She is survived by her mother Marie, sister Aleana (Glade) Gunnell, brother DeWayne, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, at the Island Park LDS Chapel, with Bishop George Brunt officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Island Park Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.baxterfh.com.
