Obituary

Theodore "Ted" Siddoway passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022, at his home in Santa Rosa, California, from natural causes. He was 96.

Ted was born June 29, 1925, in Teton City, Idaho, the sixth of eight children of James Clarence and Ruth Bean Siddoway. He attended schools in Teton and Rexburg, graduating in 1943, sharing Valedictorian honors with his cousin David "Bud" Davis. He enlisted and and was inducted into the US Army Air Corps, and received training as a navigator, earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He moved supplies throughout the Pacific - Asian theater in the 6th Combat Cargo Squad, based out of Orlando, Florida.

After serving his country, Ted attended Stanford University for three years, graduating in Art Design in 1949, and then Harvard University, graduating in 1953 with a Master's degree in Architecture. He traveled throughout Europe for 15 months and settled in San Francisco, California in 1955. Ted worked in his chosen profession his entire career, starting out in a large firm in San Francisco, doing mostly large commercial buildings, and ending his career in a two-man firm that specializes in homes and remodels of homes and apartments.

Ted traveled throughout his life, always incorporating his love of architecture, history, and music into his travels. He saw most of the world; visiting the most sacred sites, and enjoying all of what the world has to offer.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Ted will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Teton–Newdale Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Teton Elementary School Pavilion in Teton City immediately following.
