Terri Park Furniss, 62, of Driggs, passed away May 13, 2016, from cancer. She was born November 14, 1953, in Driggs, Idaho to Jimmie Ren and Katherine Ellen Ricks Park.
She was a very talented athlete. She could outrun every boy in her class. She loved playing softball, skiing with the family and playing drums in the band. Terri graduated from high school in 1972 and then attended Ricks College. She majored in Art and played softball for the Ricks College team.
After college, she married Michael Oren Furniss on June 20, 1975 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many capacities.
She loved the outdoors. She hunted and fished with Mike. She painted beautiful murals. She enjoyed gardening and music. Her family was her biggest joy.
She is survived by her husband Michael Oren Furniss; children, Kelly and Darren Crow, Kasey and Katy Furniss, Clint and Sierra Furniss, Cody and Christina Furniss; siblings, Connie Letham, Tony Park, Ken Park, Kelly Park, Jim Park, Jack Park, and Tracy Park; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at the Driggs LDS Stake Center with Bishop Tom Hill officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the stake center. Interment will be in the Bates Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.
