Thayle Wynn, 85, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Ashton, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at her home of natural causes. She was born June 14, 1928, in Whitney, Idaho to Carl and Vida Roskelley Beckstead.
She was raised in a hard-working farming family. She attended elementary school in Whitney and graduated from Preston High School. She also attended BYU in Provo. She married Ross Wynn on January 17, 1947, in the Logan LDS Temple. Two weeks after their marriage, Ross left to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1987, they served in Akron, Ohio and in 1999, they served in the Mesa Family History mission.
In 1949, Thayle and Ross moved to Ashton where they raised their family. They built and owned Wynn Furniture, which is still in the family. Thayle was very active in the church. She served in many callings in various organizations. She was involved in Scouting and was proud that all six of her sons earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
She was very involved in the community of Ashton and served in several civic organizations. After retiring, Thayle and Ross enjoyed spending their winters in Mesa with the many friends that they made there. Thayle's family was very important to her and she taught her children and grandchildren by example and service to those around her.
