Obituary

Wanda Mae Bills Hutchinson, 85, of Ashton, died April 8, 2024, at Madison Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 31,1938, to William Jeff Bills and Ruth Mae Hicks in Rock Springs Wyoming. She was the oldest of 4 children. Her siblings were Roy, Wilma and Tom.

She married Norman Hubert Bates and to that union were born Gene Bates, Ruth Taylor and Becky Seeley. They were later divorced.

She then married Howard Lavern Norskog and to that union was born Mel Murdoch. They were also later divorced.

Wanda lived in many states across the country, traveled to many others plus Canada, Mexico and Germany but she always called Ashton Idaho home.

She worked mostly in food service her entire life, including Western Wyoming College, Senior Citizen Centers, restaurants and private lodges.

She also volunteered with the Red Hat Ladies, the Ashton Flea Market, the St Anthony Street Fest and the Fisherman's Breakfast.

She is survived by her children, Gene (Barbra) Bates of Afton Wyoming, Becky (Mark) Seeley of Chester Idaho, Mel (K Scott) Murdoch of Ashton Idaho and her sister Wilma Diggle. Along with 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren

Wanda is proceeded in death by both her parents, brother Roy, brother Tom and daughter Ruth.

Services to be held April 17,2024, at 10:00 am at Baxter Funeral Home in Ashton, Idaho. The service will be live streamed for those who are not able to attend.

A luncheon will follow at the Murdoch residence.
