Wesley Wayne Bishop, the son of Albert and Beth Bishop passed away July 16, 2023, at the age of 35.

He was born April 12, 1988, in Federal Way, Washington. He attended school there and in high school he also took a running start program.  He graduated from Tod Beamer High School and at the same time from Highline College with a degree in Computer Aided Design.  He was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age 7 and after age 9 he was permanently in an electric wheelchair.

He was  a member  of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and active in scouting and served as an Elder in the Church.

He lived at home with his parents but had many great adventures with them as well.  Every summer the family would stay at their cabin at Macks Inn, Idaho and take trips through Yellowstone Park, stop at the swimming hole and visit Old Faithful .  As a young boy he loved to ski and rollerblade with his friends. Later he would always be online waiting for his siblings and nieces and nephews to play video games.  His laughter and sense of humor along with his non-nonsense practicality will truly be missed.  He created a game for other handicapped kids and put it online.  Kids from all over the world have been playing Wheelchair Viking.

Wesley is survived by his parents Albert and Beth; his siblings Rebecca, Thomas Albert, Michael Lee, Tiffany, and Camille;  19 nieces and nephews, and 3 grand nephews.  He is now free to roam, but will certainly be missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center with Bishop David Hess of the Ashton First Ward officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services.  Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
