William Junior Atchley "J.R.", 74, of Ashton passed away of natural causes on April 3, 2017 surrounded by family. J.R. was born on May 5, 1942, in Saint Anthony, Idaho to William B. and Clara Rue Atchley.

J.R. enjoyed all things outdoor. He grew up farming and loved riding horses. J.R. even spent time as a hunting guide. Many memories of J.R. were made by his closest friends while at their yearly hunting camp.

J.R. is survived by his brother Mack Atchley and four of his children: Jan (Todd) Stronks, Tom (Tara) Atchley, Patti (Eric) Horman, and Dorri (Ron) Childs; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. J.R. was preceded in death by his daughter Julie, his parents, his brother Wilbur and sister Madeline Maupin.

Graveside services to be held Thursday, April 6, at Ashton Pineview Cemetery.
